Living in Fear

Song Trong So Hãi

“A gripping look into Vietnam’s post-war reality, where survival is the only choice.”

Synopsis

Set in 1975, just after the end of the Vietnam War, Living in Fear tells the story of Tai, a former soldier who, ostracized by society for fighting on the losing side, is left to grapple with the harsh realities of post-war Vietnam. Struggling to support two families, Tai risks his life by clearing landmines, a dangerous and often suicidal task that provides him with a means of survival. As the war’s lingering effects continue to haunt the country, Tai must make tough moral choices while trying to rebuild a life from the wreckage of the past. The film presents a harrowing look at how the aftermath of conflict shapes not just the landscape, but the very lives of those left in its wake.
